Over the years, Black Belt magazine has featured many articles by and about members of the I.K.C.A. and the Old School Kenpo Karate studio.

Black Belt magazine, August 2006: This issue featured the article, "Beginner's Guide to Striking," by I.K.C.A. founder, Chuck Sullivan.

Black Belt magazine, September 1997: This issue featured the article, "David Vs. Goliath: Shotokan Karate Defenses for the Short Fighter," by "Old School Kenpo instructor" black belt, Bill Hayes (Bill spent nearly five years in the Shotokan system in the mid 1970s).
